As my first post, I wanted to give an update on how I’m feeling regarding our whole situation. Of course, things are not ideal, however, I’m making the most of it. For me, I’ve been more than happy. I’ve seen a lot of people in bed complaining about their situation, but I think it’s time to turn things around. I wanted to give you guys a little bit of insight on the biggest thing keeping me sane; My morning routine.

Get out of bed

The most important thing for me is getting out of bed. I always try to avoid sitting in bed on my computer/phone. I feel that whenever I start my morning off this way it messes up my productivity for the rest of the day. Try to limit yourself to 15 minutes in bed once you’ve woken up.

Skincare routine

One of my favorite parts of the morning is my skincare routine. I start off by washing my face with Kiehl’s Calendula Foaming Face Wash. I then use Thayer’s Witch Hazel Toner with a cotton pad to restore my PH level. After that, I apply Lancome Genifique Concentrate, Sunday Riley C.E.O. Serum, Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream, and Mario Badescu Aloe Spray. I absolutely love these products, so I’ll link them below. Tip: In order to receive the best results, make sure you’re applying in the correct order (Toner, serum, moisturizer).

Open the shades and make your bed

After my skincare routine, I always make my bed and open my shades. By doing this every morning, it builds structure and makes it a little easier to resist jumping back into bed.

Morning cup of coffee

My absolute favorite part of my mornings is making my coffee. My go-to is an almond milk vanilla latte, but I’ve recently been switching it up with whipped coffee. For my lattes, I use a Nespresso espresso machine which has saved me during this quarantine. If this is in your budget and you love coffee, I highly recommend. Tip: For whipped coffee, after you whip the instant coffee, water, and sugar, whip in a splash of sugar-free vanilla creamer to make it less bitter.

Morning workout

The last part of almost every morning is a workout. Usually, while I drink my coffee, I write out a workout for that day. This allows me to stay motivated and actually stick to that day’s workout. Personally, it’s really important for me to get my workout in during the morning. This forces me to actually get it done, and not constantly push it off. In another post, I’ll go more into depth on how I’ve been keeping a workout routine during this quarantine.
